Governance
Health Services Australia Limited is a Public Company owned by the Australian Government. It is a GBE operating under the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997 (CAC Act) and the Governance Arrangements for Commonwealth Government Business Enterprises (the Governance Arrangements) issued in June 1997.
The HSA Group Board considers that good corporate governance is an essential component of good business practice and culture. The HSA Group is committed to good corporate governance through the implementation of appropriate structures and mechanisms to ensure discipline, integrity, transparency, fairness and accountability in all its operations and actions.
The Group is also committed to adopting the ASX Corporate Governance Council's Principles of Good Corporate Governance and Best Practice Recommendations (ASX Guidelines) in so far as they are applicable to a Government Business Enterprise (GBE).
